The Breaking of the Fellowship

And so the exodus begins...

After a crazy night out I took the liberty to check my e-mail. And boy was I shocked to read an e-mail from Tzun Tzin telling everyone that he has reached England safely. I knew this day was coming, but later rather than sooner.. I just called Amresh, and I was even more shocked to hear that so many people have left as well...

This of course brought a whole long nostalgic moment, with me reminiscing about how I was also about to go, and the feeling of doom when I was boarding the plane. I could still remember the promises of keeping in touch, the vain attempts to comfort by saying that "time flies". The poignant last moments of my life in Malaysia, and the ludicrous but terrifying notion that I might never see some of my friends again..

So what happens from here onwards? That's the fun part about being on your own. It's totally up to you! The whole world is in your hands! You will never imagine the countless of possibilities at your fingertips.. I honestly would never imagine doing all those things I've done since arriving here.

So, everyone out there, where ever you are, take care of yourself, and try to keep in touch, however cliche it may sound. I don't think I have to give out generic advises like getting your bank account up and running as fast as possible, look for the cheapest markets and go just before they close for maximum discounts etc because it's pretty much understandable. However, do try to ingratiate yourself with the locals. It's not only about having fun like they do or drinking excessively, but it'll bring a whole new perspective on life, and that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Personally, I can't wait to see what life dishes out for me next! Take care everyone!
